Our Carbon Offset mortgage is a unique breath of fresh air. As well as giving you a competitive rate, it helps you reduce your impact on the environment - a definite win-win situation.
So how does it help you do your bit?
We promise to offset the equivalent of an average home's carbon emissions (5.5 tonnes**) for each year of your mortgage's promotional period by purchasing carbon credits. These credits would normally be used by companies who produce harmful greenhouse gases. Companies purchase carbon credits to pay for the overspill of allocated emissions that they are given by the Government. So we're putting these important credits out of their reach - forcing them to find greener ways of working.
